Ant Colony Optimization is an optimization algorithm that is inspired by the foraging behavior of ants. In this thesis I have applied Ant Colony Optimization to problems that are generated from the model checking problem, to Boolean equation systems and to parity games. The results of this research are mixed but we have discovered approaches where further research seems promising.
